Old republic skin overhaul started with the developer’s unhappiness with the Taris horizon. This file fixes a plethora of common dialogue and scripting-related bugs. The developer has combined various bug fixes in this collection. If the bugs frustrate you like they do many of us, this is exactly what you need. When you see the mouseover tooltip over those 4, the main stat for that player or that companion is going to be the stat that has the most bonuses. The comprehensive KotOR bug fix collection fixes those problems. Hit C to open your character sheet and on the left you will see those 4 stats along with other things like presence and endurance but just focus on the 4 stats i mentioned: strength, aim, cunning and willpower. If you want to know what the primary stat is for you or your companion, then mouseover the 4 different main stats (strength, aim, cunning, willpower) in their character sheet. Qyzen Fess is a melee tank, Khem Val is also a melee tank.both wear heavy armor BUT Qyzen's primary stat is aim while Khem's stat is strength. But the above info is also a bit useful because just from outside appearances some things can be decieving. I dont know if its possible to 'accidentally' put a barrel in a saber or if items are restricted to just the mod type that can go in that slot, but best to be safe so i thought i would mention it. Tech based melee weapons such as techblades take barrels (more in this in a second)Īrmor like helm, chest and pants take armoring as well

Ranged weapons such as sniper rifles, blaster rifles, blaster pistols take barrels Orange quality/moddable lightsabers, vibroswords, double-bladed sabers use hilts I just wanted to correct something, here just to make sure there is no confusion. Your "orange item sabers" are moddable and can be upgraded by switching out the barrel, mod and enhancement (simply CTRL+right-click it to change the mods, no need to find a Modification Station).
Star wars old republic mods upgrade#
Level 49 upgrade at Corellia (or just save up til you are close to 100 comm badges total and buy epic mods, i havent played at 50 in a while). Level 35 upgrade at Balmorra (Taris if you are Imperial) Level 19 upgrade your mods at Taris (Balmorra if you are Imperial) So at level 15 upgrade your mods and stuff You dont want to upgrade every 2 levels, because you dont earn enough planetary comm vendors to be able to upgrade every 2 levels. I have a system but its a bit complicated (but actually rather simple if you know all the terms.īut anyways like i said upgrade every 4 levels, starting at 15. But your priority should always be to upgrade your weapons first because the hilt/barrel affects your damage output. HOWEVER things start to get a little bit harder once you get more and more moddable armor. If you also have moddable armor you will want to upgrade the armoring, mod and enhancements too obviously. And also every planet comm vendor can be found on the Fleet in the Supplies section. Each planet has a modification commendation vendor in the main city where you first land. Start at level 15, then when you get to level 19 upgrade them again when you are on the planet Taris. What you want to do is upgrade your hilt, saber mod and saber enhancements every 4 levels. Mods and enhancements cost 2 comm badges each. At the Mod Comm Vendor barrels, hilts and armoring cost 7 comm badges each. You should have several Planetary Commendation Badges by now (hit I for inventory, and check your currency tab). Then take a look at what items they have for sale. Look for the Modification Commendation Vendor that is under the senate plaza of Coruscant. But thats different, pretty much all player worn gear that is moddable will have orange or purple text. CTRL+right click one of them and you will see each of the 4 items you can put in it.ĮDIT: the only moddable green items you may see are companion weapons/gear. Look at your two orange/custom lightsabers again.

Only augments go into augment slots, hilts/barrels, mods and enhancements all have their separate slot.

Except for maybe an augment slot which is what you added with the MK1 kit. Its not that you *shouldn't* mod your green lightsabers or other green quality items, you *cant* mod them.
